In the northern part of the Gryt archipelago, just six nautical miles away from Fyrudden Harbour in Östergötland, lies Harstena. The island has a long history—tax records show it was already inhabited in 1543. Harstena is renowned for its well-preserved archipelago environment and for the seal hunting that was once practised here. Additionally, the island boasts magnificent natural scenery and is something of an idyll in the outer archipelago, with its small red cottages and charming boathouses.

Welcome to Harstena with your own boat! In the guest harbour, you’ll find toilets, shore power, and our floating recycling station. Right next door, you’ll find restaurant Loftet and Handelsboden – a mini-market.
TOUR BOAT
For those without access to their own boat, tour boats run daily directly to the island from the harbours of Arkösund, Tyrislöt, and Fyrudden.
