A Taste of the Archipelago
Harstena has been a beloved tourist destination for many years. As early as 1947, we opened the first kiosk on the island. There are many reasons why people return to Harstena year after year. One of them is the smoked fish. In addition to smoked and fresh fish, there is also a bakery, a kiosk with a mini-market, and restaurant Loftet.
Restaurant Loftet
If you visit Harstena during the summer, you have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant Loftet. The restaurant is located at the harbour, on the loft above Elof’s boathouse. Read more →
The Bakery
For most visitors to Harstena during the summer, a visit to the bakery is a must. The bakery is located by the waterlily pond, Djupdalen. Here, you can buy fresh bread every day. Our selection includes both savoury bread and pastries, such as Harstena loaves, Swedish farmhouse bread, and cinnamon buns.
Handelsboden
The mini-market is located by the harbour. During the summer, it offers a basic selection of essential groceries, such as dairy products and vegetables. The shop also sells fish from the smokehouse. Next to the shop, there is an ice cream bar serving scooped ice cream and soft serve. There is also an outdoor seating area.
